I decided to start a blog to journal my ongoing exploration of sweet confections. After culinary school and the birth of my first son I started baking more and really enjoying it. After about a two year hiatus I am baking again and enjoying it even more. I have decided that every week I will try to make something new and blog about it. Checkerboard cake
I attempted my first checkerboard cake, and for the most part it came out ok, but I think the cake was too moist and wasn't as solid looking as I wanted. It sure did taste good though. I guess I have to try it again.
Believe me it looks good but it tasted a gazillion times better if you can even image that!
